Position Overview:
The General Manager – CPAP Division will oversee the day-to-day operations of our CPAP business across multiple locations, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and growth. This role involves managing centralized operations from our North York head office, including Inventory/ERP, Marketing, and Resupplies teams, while providing leadership and support to PAP clinicians at retail locations and other operational personnel. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership, a proven track record of driving business growth in similar industries, and deep expertise in the medical devices sector. A strong understanding of the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) in Ontario is essential to ensure compliance and maximize funding opportunities. Additionally, the General Manager will be responsible for monitoring key performance metrics, identifying operational improvements, and delivering monthly progress reports to shareholders and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee centralized operations at the North York head office, including inventory management, operational teams, and resupply teams to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Lead and support retail staff (PAP Clinicians and support personnel) across all locations, driving high performance, patient satisfaction, and adherence to best practices.
- Monitor and report on department-wide KPIs, including referral conversion rates, patient compliance metrics, and resupply sales, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and implement standardized policies, procedures, and training programs across all locations to enhance consistency and operational effectiveness.
- Provide monthly progress reports on key objectives to shareholders and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment.
- Resolve escalated patient and operational issues, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Drive business growth by collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and other teams to optimize patient acquisition and retention strategies.
- Support the expansion and integration of new locations, ensuring smooth transitions and operational readiness.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with the Assistive Devices Program (ADP), insurance policies, and industry standards, mitigating risks and maintaining accreditation.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce.
Experience Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) and the medical device industry.
- Post-secondary education in healthcare, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in home healthcare equipment and clinical services.
- Prior sales and marketing experience is an asset.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
- Clear driver’s abstract and ability to travel between locations as needed.
- Proven track record of managing multiple locations and successfully delivering operational improvements and growth.
Technical Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Nurse (RN) (not required but an asset)
